ICCC Conference 2014
Happy New Year as we step into an amazing season of opportunity and purpose. It is not so important to me what slogan or theme you have adopted for 2014, as it does that we act on the opportunity we have been afforded. If someone proclaims it a year of famine it does not have to be a year of famine for you. If you act on right principles, it will be a great year of abundance. If someone proclaims it a year of breakthrough and we disregard right principles then it will be a year of famine. I have come to discover that our responses to truth determine our future much more than a theme or slogan does. So in this New Year, I m believing each of us will respond to truth and we will see manifestations of long awaited dreams.
For me personally I closed out 2013 with a few health challenges but God has proven Himself faithful. We Stand. It was a record breaking year of extending the Kingdom into the nations. I was internationally traveling more in 2013 than I did inside the United States. It was so refreshing to see the effect of your ICCC in nations and on continents. It has been a season of sudden changes. We saw the greatest international evangelist of all time depart in 2013; T L Osborn was the father of Miracle Crusade Evangelism. Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel and the Jesus Movement departed in 2013; he was certainly the leader of the out of the box evangelism to what was the "street people/hippies", Then Paul Crouch passed away in 2013 who was the pioneer of International Christian Television. It is a moment of SUDDEN CHANGE.
Billy Graham, father of Mass Evangelism turned 95 in 2013; and Nelson Mandela died at 95 years of age in 2013 who was one of the greatest examples of redemption and servant leaders of modern history. All of this could be just coincidence but I think it is a sign of SUDDEN CHANGE. A new Pope was elected after the resignation of the previous Pope, only the second time in history of such an occurrence. It was not only a SUDDEN CHANGE but a total change of style and emphasis.
We are in seasons of SUDDEN CHANGE. How do we navigate SUDDEN CHANGE? What is our approach and posture to the SUDDEN CHANGES that come at us often while still totally unprepared for it? WE will explore the realities of leading in times of SUDDEN CHANGE at our International Gathering of Bishops May 7-9, 2014 here in Atlanta, Georgia.
We will convene on Wednesday May 7th, and will conclude and depart on Saturday morning the 10th. There will be no sessions on the 10th. This will be a great opportunity to come together, not only with bishops from around the world, but also to bring staff and family members as we dialogue and strategize for the SUDDEN CHANGES that we face as well as for the future. There will be sessions for the whole family and for all leaders.
I have accepted the honor of hosting you in our new facility this year not only because of the close proximity to The Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport but because we are diligently working to have open and available to you during your visit with us an office and History Library of your ICCC which will include artifacts and history of this great organization that will be housed on the grounds of The GLOBE. As you know we will host the 2015 Convocation in Latin America and that will be finalized and discussed during the gathering May 7-9, 2014 here in Atlanta.
This letter serves not only as an official invitation, but also as notification to concerned parties from outside of the United States that we have taken the liberty to assure you will have room and meals and transportation to and from the airport. All that is necessary is for you to fax your confirmation of attendance and your flight arrangements to (fax number 770-748-5374). It is our honor to invite you as an active member of this organization to participate in this very important meeting of the members of The International Communion of Charismatic Churches.
Our gathering in Australia last year was not only powerful but so relevant and strategic to the purpose of God in the earth. I have no doubt our time in Atlanta, May 7-9, will be no different. We will hear from some very choice vessels of the LORD and of course that includes our very own powerful bishops from around the earth. I know 2014 is going to be monumental.
Please act promptly to make your plans to be with us May 7-9, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia. You will not want to miss this gathering and you will want to encourage others to attend, not just bishops but staff and family members also. We will be updating the ICCC website with hotel information and schedule specifics in the coming days but block your dates now and do not miss this great gathering.
Your continued support of your ICCC is important to our continuing goals. Please visit the website at www.theiccc.com to update your address information and to gather current information on what is happening within the ICCC. It is time for Sudden Changes.
I am so excited to be hosting you for this Gathering of 2014 here in my home state and for the first time in our own home facility, our new International Headquarters, Covenant Life Christian Center @ The GLOBE 2178 Hwy 138 E,. Stockbridge, Georgia. I know May 7-9 will be a beautiful time to see the great state of Georgia and to experience the presence of God together from around the globe at The GLOBE. My prayers are with you and I request your prayers for me also. Let the office know if we can assist you further as you plan for May 7-9, 2014.
